Let’s get this straight: the body you were given is beautiful and uniquely you, but sometimes in order to feel like a powerful force who could command a room, we need a boost.
For many women, their femininity is heavily influenced by their figure, particularly their breasts. If you feel like your breasts aren’t the right shape or size, your confidence might be shaken. And as much as we wish we believed what our loved ones tell us about ourselves—it doesn’t fix the problem.
With breast implants in Northport, you can take control in steadying your confidence and allow it room to flourish!
A Little About Indian Hills Plastic Surgery
At Indian Hills Plastic Surgery, breast surgery is one of our specialities. More than most things in life, Tuscaloosa plastic surgeon Dr. Chelsea Wallace loves listening to, supporting, and helping women regain confidence.
Getting breast implants in Northport is an extremely transformational procedure with a high patient satisfaction rate. When you come to the Indian Hills team, you can expect to be listened to, respected, and treated with compassion.
Let’s Talk About Breast Implants
Breast augmentation refers to the process of getting breast implants. If you want to change the shape or size of your breasts, restore lost volume, or correct asymmetry, breast augmentation is what you’re looking for.
Breast implants in Northport come in all shapes and sizes and a couple of different materials.
Silicone implants are pre-filled with a thick silicone gel that feels like natural breast tissue. To receive silicone implants, we require patients to be at least 22 years old.
Saline implants are made of a small sack designed to take the natural shape of a breast. Once the implant is inserted, Dr. Wallace will manually fill the sack with saline solution until she reaches your desired volume. You have to be at least 18 years old to get saline implants.
The Different Shapes and Sizes
We’ll guide the process of finding the right fit for you, but you’ll be an active participant in this process. At Indian Hills, we allow women to feel and try on the different shapes and sizes of implants as many times as they need.
Once you actually have the implants, they’re a part of you—so we want to make sure they’re the perfect fit!
Am I a candidate for breast implants?
You are a candidate for breast implants in Northport if you:
- Want to improve the shape, size, or symmetry of your breasts
- Are at least 18 years old
- Are not pregnant or breastfeeding
- Can set aside time for a recovery period
How long is the procedure?
Breast augmentation can last between 1 and 2 hours.
What is recovery like?
We will send you home in the care of one of your friends or family members. You’ll likely feel fatigued and experience pain and swelling. Over-the-counter medications, occasional prescription medications, and rest will do the trick!
You’ll need to take off work for about 1 to 2 weeks and refrain from any strenuous activities.
After the first week, you can resume light walking but refrain from cardio or weight lifting for 4 to 6 weeks. You should be feeling back to your normal self by then.
When will I see results?
You’ll of course see results immediately, but the implants will continue settling for the first 6 months. You can behold your final results at that time!
How long do breast implants last?
Breast implants are very long-lasting. Implant manufacturers warranty them for 10 years on average, but they often outlive that—sometimes even by a whole decade!
If you have questions about when you should expect to have them replaced in the far future, Dr. Wallace would be happy to provide more information.
How much do breast implants in Northport cost?
At Indian Hills Plastic Surgery, we value being transparent about costs. Tell us a little bit about your breast augmentation goals and we’ll provide you with a cost estimate:
Take the First Step
Before any breast surgery in Northport, we start with a consultation. Dr. Wallace will provide more information on breast implants, ask you about your goals, and allow you to get a feel for the different implants.
A consultation is not a commitment to the procedure, it’s the get-to-know-you step!
